Comtec IPE has signed a deal to provide Polysecure chemical markers for anti-counterfeiting and lifelong product identification

Freiburg, Germany.  21st February, 2013. Mr. Jochen Moesslein (Managing Partner – Polysecure) and Mr. Michael Parrington (Director – Comtec IPE) reached an agreement for Comtec IPE to be a partner providing the Polysecure technologies in Australia, New Zealand, and through parts of South East Asia.

Arburg Technology Days

Unique Industry Event: 13th – 16th March 2013

This spring, the traditional ARBURG Technology Days will be held from 13 to 16 March. The multi-faceted subject of “production efficiency” will be the main focus of the unique exhibition, which in the past years attracted over 5,000 trade visitors from around 50 countries to the Lossburg headquarters.

Both Joerg Ehmann & Rodney Douthat will be attending this years event.

GE, a pioneer of outsourcing, is bringing American manufacturing back to life

“The way we see it, about 60 percent of the companies that offshored manufacturing didn’t really do the math. They looked only at the labor rate—they didn’t look at the hidden costs” (Moser, 2012).

Companies in America are starting to realise the benefits to sustainable business in having a viable manufacturing sector; as well as it being imperative for the development and protection of Intellectual Property.  GE has realised this and is starting to reinvest and develop its home grown manufacturing, recognising that off-shoring affects their competativenes negatively.  Many other companies are realising the same and are reinvesting in home based manufacturing.  Apple has also started assembling some of its latest Macbook in America.  There are some good lessons for manufacturing in Australia.
