Container Mixer

The mobile container equipped with a steering shaft or handle is positioned under the double-sided mixing system and pulled into the guide fork by means of 2 pneumatically actuated clamping elements (int. patent), locked, and tensioned.

The container is then pulled under the mixing base and tensioned by means of 2 motor-driven feed rods.

After the lifting/tensioning procedure, the mixing system is swiveled 180° into the mixing position by means of a three phase geared motor.

The system is now located in the mixing position. This means that the mixing material is in contact with the mixing tool and can now be prepared as in a standard vertical mixer (e.g. MIXACO fast mixer/ universal mixer).

After the mixing procedure, the system is swiveled back 180°, cleaned of dust by a suction unit (int. patent) integrated into the mixing head, and the container is lowered by means of the spindle lift. The system is controlled by a SPS-control system in Step by Step mode, or optionally by an automatic control system with a display system including operator prompting.

The Container with the finished mixing material is now moved to the downstream processing system and the product is discharged (dust-free) into extruders/kneaders/mixers/weighing or bagging systems by appropriately designed emptying systems (see accessories).

The mixing material is put into a centrifugal movement due to the rotation of the mixing tools and optimum tool geometry (adapted to the customer’s requirements). The product rises on the cylindrical part due to the mixing pressure and is then guided toward the center and pulled in again.

This sequence of movements created the typical mixing vortex, which ensures optimum and gentle mixing of even the smallest mixture components. Average mixing time is between 3-6 minutes.

Due to the various designs of the MIXACO container mixers, the system can be used for all mixing tasks in the area of dry mixing and in the area of mixing dry materials with liquids/pastes.
